Epiphany, also known as Three Kings' Day, is a significant holiday celebrated in Monaco. This occasion is a Christian feast day that marks the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ. It is held every year on the 6th of January, twelve days after Christmas, concluding the twelve days of the Christmas season.

In Monaco, Epiphany is associated with various customs. One such tradition is the blessing of homes. Members of the religious community, typically priests, visit homes sprinkling them with holy water and praying for God’s blessing on the occupants for the coming year. Another cherished tradition is the eating of 'Galette des Rois' or 'King's Cake', which often contains a hidden figurine. The person who gets the slice of cake with the figurine becomes the 'king' or 'queen' for the day.

Epiphany provides a rich cultural experience that both residents and tourists can enjoy. Moreover, this holiday is not just a religious celebration but also a national one. All businesses and schools are closed on this day. With processions, church services, and festive foods, Epiphany indeed contributes to the vibrant and unique culture of Monaco.
